How to Work With Your Realtor and
Adhere to Covid19 Guidelines
Buying a house is super exciting and no one is more excited for you than your Realtor! We can all work together in the safest ways possible AND achieve your dream home at the same time! :)
While Real Estate Agents have been deemed essential, some aspects of working with the public and carrying on in our profession has changed. Most Real Estate agents are able to continue to schedule home tours if the property is vacant. In order to continue to provide service in a safe, efficient and proactive way, it is essential that everyone is on the same page and follows the recommended guidelines.
Tour with Distancing
Take all the precautions to stay at least 6ft. away at all times. As a Real Estate Professional, I can tell you this is very difficult to do especially while circling the counter in the kitchen or bumping into clients as you both pass by through the hallway or bathroom. Be conscious and make it a habit as much as possible. If you are touring a home, leave your children home! There is no need to put them in harms way. Home tours are recommended on a 1:1 basis.
Come with Supplies
When you show up to tour a home with your Realtor, you should be wearing a face covering, have antibacterial wipes and/or sanitizer for after the tour is over. This is for everyone's safety. If you do not have these items on hand, many Real Estate Agents are coming equipped with items you can have to ensure you are as safe as possible. You may be touching light switches, door knobs, doors, etc. Sanitize your hands after each showing. You never know who has a family at home, who lives with elderly relatives or who could potentially take on this virus without a fight. No one is invincible. Let's help each other.
